The series of meetings has been going for a good while. This one, hosted by Meteo France in Toulouse, was the 14th in the series. I went to previous meetings in Edinburgh and Canmore and, aside from really niche meetings like MARCDAT and CLIMAR, these have been the meetings that I have enjoyed the most. The mix of talks – philosophical, practical, both, neither, statistical, climatological, either, neither – is nice and the balance between plenaries, posters and parallel sessions works well. It’s big enough to give a good choice of things to see, but not overwhelmingly large (unless, of course, your first view of them all is when you get to the podium to give your talk).
